London Calling Home

Landed! Easy. Hope everyone is well in the States.

I've been staying with my good friend Tim (my year, also from Georgetown) for the last five days at his apartment in Trafalgar Square (!) a quick walk from the London School of Economics, where he is studying this year. It's close quarters, but the closer you are to a friend the less you notice exactly what's shared when.

I'm here for a week (until Thursday) and then I'm off to Italy for the semester. This stop-over has been fabulous; Tim has been a wonderful host and has taken me around on top of his courseload.

The first day we went to an underground cafe for some hot soup and bread pudding (not sure why Tim looks nervous)

And so, nicely warmed up, we hit the town.

To complete the team was our good friend Sumi, also from Georgetown, who is studying at the University College London, also in the West End. The three of us were friends before this winter and have become even closer with a new city to explore.

That evening we visited the National Gallery...

...which was beautiful at night.

Check in again soon!
